New Play Development
As a champion for contemporary theatre, I relish the opportunity to work with playwrights and theatre companies in the development of new works.
During my tenure as Producing Artistic Director at Relative Theatrics in Laramie, WY, I operated the New Play Festival 'Playwrights Voiced' for eight seasons, bringing emerging and established playwrights to the Gem City to work with actors and directors on works in progress, to receive audience feedback that informed future drafts, and to potentially move forward into a workshop production or world premiere with the company in future seasons.
I also serve as a reader for various new play festivals and new play competitions, including Capital Stage Company's 'Playwrights' Revolution' in Sacramento, CA, Riot Act Inc.'s 'New Play Festival' of short plays by regional playwrights in Jackson Hole, WY, and the Wyoming Writers Inc. annual contest.
